John and Lisa Dunckel

The desire to be involved in cross-cultural missions began in John and Lisa Dunckel’s lives even before they were married. Along the way, they participated in several short-term mission trips, including Haiti, Thailand and Bangladesh. Utilizing their secular training in business (CPA) and nursing (RN), the Dunckels and their three children followed the call to Egypt in 2002 for four years serving with an Egyptian evangelical organization based in Cairo. John assisted project coordination, communication with US ministry partners, fundraising, and accounting. Lisa worked as a school nurse at a large international school, living out God’s love with teachers and students from over 50 nations.

In 2006, the Board of GGF asked John and Lisa if God might be leading them to a home assignment, heading up GGF’s Pasadena headquarters, now in Monrovia. Sensing God’s timing in the situation, the Dunckels accepted. John now serves as GlobalGrace Fellowship US Director. His leadership, along with the talented office staff, has helped solidify the missionary support functions of the organization, providing a high level of service to GGF missionaries.
