Darren and Jane Freidinger
Isaiah 55 is a grace-based ministry whose primary focus is evangelizing the deaf, an unreached people group in Mexico. This is done mainly through education. Isaiah 55 builds schools, trains teachers and then provides a quality education for deaf children with the ultimate goal of sharing the gospel with the students and their families. Isaiah 55 also has the privilege of hosting work teams from all over the US and providing them an opportunity to participate in short-term mission projects helping the full-time staff with not only construction projects but also in the various ongoing mercy ministries such as vacation Bible school, ESL classes, sports clinics, medical missions.
Darren Freidinger grew up in the country in central Illinois. He is the second youngest of seven kids. He gave his life to Jesus at age 25 and has been growing in the Lord ever since. He worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for over 13 years before following the Lord’s calling to join Isaiah 55 Deaf Ministries. His job is to help coordinate construction projects for the ministry as well as work teams. Darren’s spare time is spent outdoors with Elisabeth and Kate playing any type of sport.
Jane (Knobloch) Freidinger came from a big farm family in Iowa and married Darren in 2002 after meeting him on a mission trip to Jamaica’s Deaf Village. She is the second youngest of eight kids, gave her life to Jesus at the age of 20 and praises God for his new mercies every morning! Jane holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and was a small business owner for several years. She is coordinating communications between Isaiah 55 and U.S. churches as well as helping with work teams, social media, construction, and fundraising.
Darren and Jane’s daughters Elisabeth and Kate were adopted into the Freidinger family in 2009 from foster care and provide never-ending entertainment for their parents and all who come in contact with them. They are excited to hone their soccer, Spanish and Mexican Sign Language skills.
