Description:
The Oakes Holiday Center is a Christian camp that reaches out to the kids in Sheffield, where more than 2,000 young people enjoy an action-packed holiday each year while exploring the Christian message in an engaging way.
The majority of the campers are under the age of 18 don’t attend church or have any church contact, so we aim to explain the significance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our prayer is for many young people to respond to their need for God

House Manager Description
The House Manager handles and oversees the cleaning of the house in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring a welcoming, hospitable and comfortable environment (cleaning, refurbishing, hospitality). This position reports to the Director, Program Manager and supervises the Assistant House Manager, cleaning team members and housekeeping volunteers.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of The Oakes operations
COSHH training
Excellent organizational skills and general household skills
Knowledge of cleaning methods and products
Ability to get along with and motivate people

Manages restoration projects
Ensures house washing gets done
Assures the safe storage and proper disposal of chemicals at all times
Maintains washing machines, dryers, and vacuums
Identifies and delegates decorating and DIY jobs
Liaise and implements décor progress with Director
Organizes the sanitary bins and waste bins contracts
Camps:
Co-ordinates regular cleaning and preparation for camps and special events (rotas)
Team:
Manages Assistant House Manager
Trains the team in COSHH, use of utility room and camp HK
Ensures provision of information for support team COSHH training
Finance
Orders cleaning products, paper products, and household items
Keeps financial records
Additional duties:
Lives a lifestyle conducive to growing in the Lord and increasing effectiveness in Christian walk/life
Participates in special events (i.e. Appreciation Dinner, Open Days)
Attends and leads monthly evening prayer meetings and write a monthly prayer letter
Attends and leads team devotions
Performs camp roles as required
Participates in relevant training and study days
Attends relevant meetings (i.e. diary meetings)
Provides the Director with monthly updates
1-1 team mentoring (if appropriate)
Participates in regular performance reviews
Performs other duties as assigned
