John Hugh, Linda, and their 3 boys, Jack, Logan, and Ethan, have been called to plant and pastor a family of churches in Paris, France. Before this move, they met at seminary and moved to Jackson, MS to plant and served a local church in Mississippi from 2007-2020.

They both have a broad array of international experience. John Hugh lived and studied in both France and Australia. Linda grew up abroad in Indonesia and the Netherlands. They met in Cambridge, MA, where they were both pursuing graduate studies.  

John Hugh is originally from Mississippi, and God led them both back to his home state to pastor and plant a new church. Within this church, they have grown a robust global missions ministry with partners in Honduras, India, UAE, and Italy. 

The Tates have been called to Paris, France. They plan to partner with the existing churches already serving the city. They will spend their first year helping serve these 2 churches, learning French, and forming their core team for a new church plant. But their long term goal is to help plant a family of churches all across Paris. By mentoring leaders and discipling those to mentor others, they are excited to bring the gospel to light in a culture that is highly secularized and resistant to the gospel.
