Global Immersion - Los Angeles
Los Angeles is one of the most diverse cities in the world with almost every country of the world represented. People from three of the largest world religions - Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism are living here.
During this 10-day trip, you will experience each of these cultures. You will be trained by people who have had experience working cross-culturally, giving you tools to help you understand people who come from a vastly different culture than your own. We will also give you tools in how to partner with the Holy Spirit in evangelism. We will train you in how to pray for healing and hear God’s voice for others. We believe the combination of cross-cultural and supernatural training will equip you to bring heaven to earth wherever you go.
Dates: Summer, 2022 (more specific dates are TBD)
Approximate cost: $1300 (not counting travel to and from Los Angeles)
Project fee: $150/person (includes stipend for local workers and cost of materials)
Accommodation: $50/person a night.
Car-rental and gas: $250/person.
Food: $40/person each day. (Food cost can vary depending on what restaurants you choose and how many meals you eat out)
Build your team: If you are interested in joining us, we suggest building a team of 3-6 people. We will help give you guidance in how to prepare your team and give you suggestions for lodging and transportation in LA.
Schedule: We will spend two days focusing on each religion: Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. The basic daily schedule will consist of morning meetings where we will worship together and have a training time. After lunch, we will split up into groups of 3-4 and spend the afternoon meeting people, praying with people, and sharing God’s love. We encourage groups to eat in the restaurants of the focus populations and even invite a friend they meet that afternoon to dinner. At the end of the day, we encourage each team to debrief and pray for the people they met that day. We will have one rest day in the middle of the trip to enjoy a nearby beach.
