Because of war, persecution, and instability in their home countries, millions of people have been uprooted and forced to seek a better life in neighboring countries. Displaced peoples risk their lives in their search for freedom, financial stability, and spiritual fulfillment for themselves and their families.

I have been living in Congo for nearly five years now. When I first arrived, I was struck by how many children were on the streets, abandoned and without homes or family. Some of these children are run-aways, some are refugees from villages that are under constant attack, and some are simply abandoned or orphaned children. 

As I was having devotions with my mom, via Skype, I realized something that made the Bible come to life through the cultural lens of my life here in Bangladesh. This helped me experience the Bible, the Story of Abraham, and the culture of Bangladesh in a new way.
